With more than 30 years of experience in dental care, Dr. Wendi brings a perspective shaped by service, travel, and a deep passion for healing. From serving in the Army Dental Corps to volunteering on dental missions worldwide, she’s witnessed firsthand how nutrition, airway health, and lifestyle shape both oral health and total body wellness.

Dr. Wendi Wardlaw, DDS

Dr. Wendi Wardlaw began her dental career as the lowest-ranking enlisted soldier in the United States Army Dental Corps, a private. Serving 10 years of active duty while attending school at night, she worked as a dental assistant, hygienist, and office manager before becoming a dentist. Dr. Wendi is a forever student with an intentional growth mindset. She believes that a Healthy Mouth is a Healthy You® and teaches this principle to all who will listen.
Dr. Wendi attended dental school at the historic Mecca that is, Howard University College of Dentistry. Motivated by an Inspired Purpose®, she pursued a postdoctoral program at Columbia University's School of Oral and Dental Medicine in NYC, with an emphasis on community health, outreach, and access to care.
Dr. Wendi Wardlaw is the owner of Wholistic Dental Center in Winter Garden, FL. She is the founder/president of Inspired Purpose, Inc., a non-profit serving in medical/dental missions locally and abroad for over 20 years. She’s heard 6 days/week as DrWendiDDS,“A healthy mouth is a healthy you®” educating on the systemic connections originating from the mouth.
When asked what she loves most about dentistry, her answer is simple and heartfelt: “Saving lives.” It may sound unexpected in a dental setting, until you understand how essential oxygen and sleep are to every system in the body. Helping someone breathe better is foundational to their whole-body health and wellness.
Dr. Wendi is also an editor for several local magazines. Dr. Wendi attributes God’s Grace to every positive step she’s taken. She has been featured in several magazines throughout central Florida and most recently in the September 2026 Orlando Family Magazine's "Top Dentist." Her future holds expansion in both dental and wellness, with a focus on airway and breathing. She helps healing happen from the inside out, exactly as we were designed.
As a long time patient of Dr. Wendi, I find her and her staff welcoming and knowledgeable. I suffer from anxiety and Dr. Wendi is patient and comforting. The office staff work together as a family which creates a friendly and comfortable environment.
